Getting things ready!

Can you believe Christmas 2009 is 4 days away! It has been such a great year this year. Last year was so filled with stress and money worries that it was probably one of our hardest years. This year we are by no means financially where we would like to be, but things are a little better. I have been more on track with getting things done a bit earlier and that relieves alot of stress. The shopping and wrapping have both been done since last week. It feels great that I am slowly and casually doing a little bit of baking each day rather than trying to get it all done, in one day, like in years past. It has just been a pleasure.

We went to see my mom yesterday for her birthday so that was nice. We can't stay long tho when it is all of us, her room is so small and the kids go a bit crazy in there... But we made the trip and I think it helped her spirits. We were really hoping she wouldn't be in there for yet another Christmas, but it didn't work out that way. We are keeping our fingers crossed she will be home by February! Dialysis is going better, her sores are healed up and now it is a matter of getter her physically stronger.

Robert and I went out with our neighbors on Saturday night and had a total blast. We were saying just how nice it was. With money being so tight for so long we haven't really been able to just go out like that very often, it was such a treat. Emily had Morgan over for a sleepover last night, the girls had a great time!

The kids are excited to open some presents with mom and Casey Thursday for Christmas Eve, we are going to have our ham dinner, read Twas the night before Christmas, open some gifts maybe watch a holiday movie and just relax. Then Christmas will be spent mostly at home which will be nice. Have our family morning and let the kids play with their toys. After lunch we will head to CA until New Year's Eve when we will head home.

I've been thinking about New Year's Resolutions.. and I think this year I am going to keep it simple, not overwhelm myself. I know one for sure is my "mommy" resolution which is to get the kids eating habits under control. I am so strict with alot of things but for some reason the food thing just isn't one of them. We are going to all start eating cleaner in 2010! Another one is I am committing to run a 1/2 marathon. I was going to do the P.F. Chang's on January 17th, but I just know I am not ready for that one. I found another one on February 14th and I am confident I will be ready for that. I am going to register for that one this week. Other than that I am just sticking to those two for now.

I think we are raising a little nudist. Tyler seems to really like sleeping completely naked these days. I know in the last week probably 5 of the days he wakes up with no clothes on! It is a little funny, but then it's not because he proceeds to have peepee accidents in the bed! UGH.. This boy sure likes to be naked tho.. LOL.

Emily continues to crack us up with the things she says, her newest thing is when we ask her if she wants to go or do something she says "yes, I think I am comfortable with that"! It sounds so cute. She also surprised us the other day, she lost her 6th tooth so the next day when the tooth fairy left her golden coins and fairy dust, she comes out to show us how many golden coins she has.. Then proceeds to tell us that she wants to save all her golden coins because she doesn't want to buy toys that she won't have years from now, that she wants to save the coins to buy furniture when she gets a house. "It is because I think furniture is VERY expensive mom" she says. Her little mind is always working..

Loves and Hugs XOXOXOX
